CT diary #5: cocoa wah wah

I was first introduced to the Cocoa Wah Wah Brownie in 2008. It's almost as big as your head, and has large chunks of melted chocolate inside it. This year the Brownie & I were reunited again by Jov & Matt (thanks guys:). If you live in Cape Town, go check this place out.. it's rad.

CT diary #3: blue marlin

On my second day I was truly spoilt by Andrei and Daleen, who took me to their favourite Sushi bar - BLUE MARLIN in Lower Main Road, Obs. They treated me to anything on the menu - there's a R99 all-you-can-eat special.. okay so I chickened out of that, but I ate a LOT of great sushi for a LOT less cash than almost anywhere else in the country. For those non-sushi fans, they also sell Chinese, which is included in the all-you-can-eat special. It was such a great experience that I told all my other CT friends about it - and ended up going back on my last night as well ;)

CT diary #2: muizenberg beach

After the Kenilworth market (see previous post) we took a slow drive to Muizenberg for a late afternoon walk along the beach. Apparently this was the first good weather Cape Town had seen in a while, so as you can imagine, the beach was packed with people. The sand was light cream and the sea was a dark turquoise, there were whales jumping out of the water slightly offshore.. and there were happy children everywhere, splashing around while their parents soaked up the last few rays of sunlight. Not bad for my first day.

CT diary #1: jenna-lea bakes

I love Cape Town. I try to visit at least once a year, to catch up with friends and to soak up the awesomeness that is CT. So I bought a Kulula sale ticket (great airline, by the way) and flew to Cape Town for ten days this month. My fantastic mates willingly drove me all over the place - from Sushi places to Signal Hill to Stellenbosch markets. I also met a lot of new people - some are involved in businesses that I'm keen to promote. Of course I was armed with my camera the entire trip.. so for the next two weeks I'll be posting photos galore.. I hope you enjoy them. :)

{ JENNA-LEA BAKES }

I landed on a Saturday afternoon - a friend fetched me from the airport & we rushed straight to Kenilworth to surprise Jenna-lea, who was selling her delicious food at a market day.
