wedding album

At last - my first wedding album for the Pennels is complete:) Although I've photographed quite a number of weddings now, this couple was actually the first to request a book. They ordered the parent book package which includes a large book and two smaller duplicates. Andrew & Dee - I hope you are enjoying your adventure in Thailand, and that you enjoy your album! xox

ross & lola {pastels & lace}

Ross & Lola's day was loads of fun.. I also loved the attention to detail with the decor and 'extras' that made the wedding so memorable. I'm a big fan of pastels and lace, so it was a treat to be able photograph this particular wedding - everything was just so darn pretty! Laura and I have been friends for many years, so I got kind of emotional during the ceremony - at times I had to remember to take photos ;) What a wonderful and joyful couple.. much love to you newly-weds.

This is a long post, but I didn't want to split it - so thanks in advance for all the scrolling..
I hope you enjoy the photos:

stephan & wendy {sunrise wedding}

This wedding has taken a while to get to the blog, as it's been a crazy busy two months for me! However, here it is at last :) Held on the 23rd of April in Umhlanga, it was my first sunrise wedding.. and was worth the early morning. My assistant Britt and I were up at 2:30am in order to be at the bride by 4am - then we were at the beach by 5:50am, just before the sun rose over the ocean. What a gorgeous day it turned out to be. Wendy is a friend who I've known since childhood, so it's a privilege to have shot her wedding. It was a small, intimate ceremony with much emotion & a stunning backdrop as the sun climbed higher in the sky. Later we moved to Ballito for the breakfast reception, and then to a lovely forest for tea, the first dance & some more photos. Congratulations Stephan & Wendy! xox
