james & melany

In one of those "small world" moments, a friend recommended me as a photographer to Melany - and it turns out I went to pre-school & junior school with her fiance James :) I got to shoot most of this wedding in my home town of Hilton, and what a lovely wedding it was. Melany, you were such a beautiful bride. Thanks goes out to Eleanor for filling in as my assistant!

i heart market goodies

If you live in the Durban area + you haven't heard of I Heart Market - go and google it now! This monthly event has moved to Moses Madhiba and is getting lovelier every time. Had such a great morning this last Saturday. I bought a beautiful polaroid camera from The Thrift Collection, (I finally used my voucher!) and the May/June Frankie mag from Cupcake Couture. There were happy people handing out complimentary Eish magazines, and other happy people giving out free Vida vouchers.. it was a really good day.

Look out for my next post if you like weddings.. ;)

CT 2011 #8 {franschhoek + terbodore}

After our adventures in Stellenbosch we drove to Franschhoek, because I was doing a shoot for Terbodore Coffee Roastery (there's a branch in the Midlands - awarded KZN Midlands Cappuccino of the Year - so it's good coffee!). The new Terbodore website is coming soon - I'll be sure to post the link once it's live. This was my first time in Franschhoek and I was blown away by how beautiful it is. My friends came in for the shoot, and were great models for me ;) Thanks to Mike from Terbodore for the afternoon of fantastic coffee and cakes, and for choosing such a great location for the Franschhoek branch! Our short time there was definitely a highlight.

CT 2011 #7 {stellenbosch}

Yes, I am still blogging about my holiday to Cape Town:) This is one of the last, and then I will be posting a pretty Midlands wedding. Four of us had a whole day to 'play' in Stellies. We walked the streets, found random gardens (wow so beautiful), browsed the little stores, and had tea at a cute antique shop. {photos of me taken by CJ - thanks CJ} Hope you enjoy it.

* A side note to all my regular blog readers - thanks for always checking out my posts. Although I don't post that often, the blog has had over 12 000 views since I created it last July.. I really appreciate the interest:) xox jules
