a pretty pre-drinks shoot

This post features Manuella with her friends and family just before her Matric Ball at Grace College. The photos were taken at the Hilton Protea Hotel. All the girls were so lovely in their dresses, parents were beaming and the guys were looking suave. Manuella, it was great to meet you and I had lots of fun - these are a few of my favourites :)

chateau gateaux

Last week two friends and I decided to beat the Monday blues and treat ourselves to some coffee & cake. We chose this little "Patisserie" in Cowey Road, Durban - and the shop was so beautiful and well.. French, that I whipped out my camera & documented our cakes + the whole place:) *Warning* May cause sugar cravings.

a farewell picnic

One week ago my friend Jessica embarked on an adventure to Redding, California. She is living out her dream, and I'm quite sure she is going to have the time of her life. These photos are from her farewell party - held the Sunday before at Durban Botanical Gardens. I hope you like them! Also, please do check out Jess's lovely blog: Diary of a Day Dreamer for news of her life overseas. (As I write this I've discovered that she did a post today using these photos - ah thank you Jess, love & miss you :) x

dream come true {my piano}

A quick post about the first digital piano I've ever owned.. it's beautiful right? I decided to put lens purchases on hold and bought this with the money I'd saved. I'm enjoying it so much. It's a Yamaha P155 portable grand: black & mahogany. I started piano lessons when I was 7 years old, so having this in my lounge really is a dream come true:) Sometimes it's worth spending money on the things that bring you joy.
